PowerEdge T360 Tower Server Overview
The Dell PowerEdge T360 is a 4.5U tower server designed for versatility, affordability, and processing power. Powered by Intel Xeon E-2400 series processors (or Xeon 6300 series) with up to 8 cores and featuring optional NVIDIA A2 GPU support, the T360 is ideal for small to medium businesses, remote offices, and edge deployments requiring enhanced compute capabilities and entry-level AI acceleration.
Next-Generation Performance
The T360 delivers up to 108% better CPU performance compared to previous generation servers. With support for Intel Xeon E-2400 series or Xeon 6300 series processors (up to 8 cores), plus DDR5 memory up to 128GB at 4400 MT/s across 4 UDIMM slots, the T360 provides 1.4x faster memory bandwidth for data-intensive applications. PCIe Gen 5 support delivers maximum I/O throughput for high-bandwidth devices.
GPU Acceleration for AI Workloads
The T360 supports the NVIDIA A2 Tensor Core GPU – a single-width, 60W accelerator with 16GB GDDR6 memory. The A2 provides:
- Up to 20x faster AI inference compared to CPU-only processing
- 72 TOPS for INT8 tensor operations
- Entry-level GPU performance for edge AI deployments
- Low power consumption (40-60W configurable TDP)
- Compact footprint - single-width design fits in tower chassis
AI & Machine Learning Use Cases
The T360 with NVIDIA A2 GPU enables emerging AI workloads at the edge:
- Video Surveillance & Analytics - Real-time object detection, facial recognition, behavior analysis for retail and security
- AI Inferencing - Deploy trained models locally for low-latency predictions without cloud dependency
- Inventory Management - Automated visual inspection and counting in warehouses and retail stores
- Visual Quality Control - Manufacturing defect detection using computer vision
- Media & Entertainment - 3D rendering, video encoding, audio processing
- VDI Acceleration - Enhanced virtual desktop performance with GPU offload
Massive Storage Capacity
Configure your T360 with unprecedented storage for an entry-level tower:
- Up to 8 x 3.5" SAS/SATA drives - Maximum 128TB total capacity
- Alternative: Up to 8 x 2.5" drives - Maximum 61.44TB with SSDs
- BOSS-N1 - Boot Optimized Storage with 2 x M.2 NVMe SSDs for OS isolation
RAID controller options include:
- PERC S160 - Software RAID for cost-effective redundancy
- PERC H355 - Hardware RAID for enhanced performance
- PERC H755 - Advanced hardware RAID with cache
